MonacoTech will receive the 28 of november, Yosef Ashkenazi, Rear Admiral in the Israeli Navy, recently retired from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) after 35 years of service in numerous positions.
His last role held in the Israeli Navy (IN) for the last 4 years was the Head of Technology, Logistic and Material Command.
The characters of this position, among other things, were management of over 4,000 Officers (couple of hundreds of engineers among them), civilians working for the IDF and soldiers.
Responsible for the technology and logistics of the Israeli Navy and all Naval operations in routine as well as during emergency times. Conducted two maritime national projects of the IN in Germany, the new Navy corvettes and the fifth and sixth new generation submarines for the IN underwater flotilla.
Lead the IN-weapon systems and platforms multiyear plan.
Some other key positions in his service are the Commander (CEO) of the Navy Shipyard – over 1200 soldiers and civilians responsible for all Navy ships and submarines maintenance and improvements, as well as the Head of planning, maintenance & Logistics Department in the IN headquarter – responsible for all Navy logistics at sea as well as on shore.
Yosef graduated the IN Officers Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion. an Executive MBA from Leon Recanati Graduate School, Tel aviv university.
Graduated the IDF National Security Course of Israel National Defense College and holds an additional MA in National Security Studies of Haifa University.
