RAISING AWARENESS OF BLOOD DONATION

At MonacoTech, we also support our startups in areas that go beyond business.

We welcomed the The Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace (CHPG) Blood Transfusion Center to our premises for a blood donation awareness session.

And to make the session more interactive, there was :
– an interactive quiz to test our knowledge
– a video illustrating what it’s like to be a blood donor.

While blood donation is an altruistic gesture, it is important to respect specific conditions to ensure the safety of both donor and patient.
For this reason, the speaker reminded us of the contraindications to blood donation.

Today, there are innovations like the one from our startup Nursinnov (recently unveiled at our Demo Day), which facilitate the collection of micro-droplets of blood on extracorporeal circuits.
A device that enhances safety for caregivers and patients alike.
